AUGUSTUS OF PRIMA PORTA

This sculpture was made in the early 1st century AD. Its measure is 2.30 meters , its material is marble.

Augustus have his right hand up because it represent the he was an ecxellent orator.

In this sculpture Augustus looks young, but when tis was made he was 76 years old tha is the reason because this is idealized.

The Augustus right leg has a cupid on a dolphin, this represent that the emperors came from the gods.

(cupid: was the son of the goddess Venus)

BUSTS

Bust is a sculpture of the head and shoulders, the Etruscans was the first civilization, that started making bust.

The Romans used to make bust of his emperors using marbel.
